Interesting. Would actually cost me more than what I pay now for race gas and is lower octane.

Last time I bought 104, it was $6 a gallon at Sunoco. (back when gas was $3-3.50/gallon here). 5 gallons would cost me $30

To make 5 gallons out of this stuff, it'll cost me $30 for the mix, and then another $15 for 91 octane.

Forwarded this on to guy around here that works in the pertroleum industry. Their software tell the refineries how to adjust their refining process to make gas, kero, diesel, etc out of a barrel of oil. See what he says..
I love Mopars so much I'm date coding the skid marks in my underwear.

Here's Dave's response when asked if he heard of it:

No but it is possible. Wouldn't take much tetraethyl lead to increase the octane alot.

50.00 for 5 gallons of 110 here. Got timing backed off on Max to where don't hear any ping, surely doesn't run as well though with no happy gas.

pump say 91 octane around here but I don't believe that

I see your good points about cost of mixing or just go buy even better octane

My old race motor loved 38 degrees. Even ran it for a while at 40.

I run with 5 gallons of 110 leaded race gas with 10 gallons of super unleaded. I haven't put a timing lite on it since I built it, but I do have a MSD system with an adjustable timing controler inside that I can adjust on the fly if I'm not able to get to the racetrack for fuel. The race gas really makes a difference.
