Differential holder

Here's a cheap way of holding your differential while rebuilding it.

Use two arms on your engine hoist and bolt to the snubber mount holes with 3/8 bolts

You can rotate 360 to work on what ever you need to do.

I like that idea! Never saw it attached to the snubber bolts before!

Seen this done before but it is a great idea and frees up work bench space.

Question Andy, can it be bolted up 180 degree out from what you show now? If so, seems that might put the weight more on the CL of the stand reducing the out of balance when you rotate. Maybe not though, its hard to tell from your photo if there would be any interference that way. Confused

Regardless, its a good idea!

Yes, just pull the pin hang on of course and spin it over. At least the way I had mocked up here.
