I got the fire wall, inner fenders, bottom side of the hood, door jams, and inside the trunk painted. now I have to put it back together and paint the rest. I mixed 2 gal. of flat black w/ 1/2 gal gloss black rustoleum.

maybe 2015, the car is an empty shell right now. everything major was fit on and then removed for painting. i do need to make door panels and put the entire interior back in w/dakota buckets/stock rear seat(that still needs recovering), new dolphin gauges. all the glass is out too. it also sits about 4" to high in the front and rear so i need to buy and put in drop spindles/lowering coil springs(has 88 dakota front clip). and i`m going to swap out the original leaf springs for a set of 80's truck springs, they have almost the same front and rear sections with out as much arch. but i need to put in different spring mounts/shackles as the 1947 springs are about 1.75" wide. i also have to make a wireing harness from a dakota work with everything on the car it has a dakota steering column in it. also need to bend/flare all the brake/fuel/hyd. clutch lines. cut/weld/fit/piece together a full length dual exhaust system from the universal dual exhaust kit i bought. AND pretty much everything else. but the body work/cutting/welding/taking the front end off/on 200 times (the hard part) is done!

all the chrome trim was not with the car when I got it and some of it was damaged. rather than go through the expense of replacing/repairing it I just welded all the holes closed and smoothed them out. the only trim that's going back on it the chrome that connects to the grill and goes back above the front wheel. also the hood ornament is going back on because its sooooo cool!
