Soooooo!! none of my dash lights are working. 1967 Coronet, where is a good place to start looking? It's probably some kind of grounging issue. It sat outside for a long time, not running. I think that is what is going on with my tag light, too!

2 gauges and the radio not working, either.

Did you try twisting the headlight knob to see if the rheostat is working? It adjusts the dash lights brightness?

Agreed, it might just be junk. Head light switches are not that expensive. I know Andy has cleaned Maxs'.

It does twist but doesn't seem to dim any of the other things the does work, it does turn on the dome light. Only other dash lighting that works is the high beam light, and turn signals lighting.

The headlight switch would affect the lighting issues, but since some of the gauges are also not working, I doubt that the switch is the problem. The instrument cluster is grounded by the metal screws that attach the cluster to the instrument panel frame, so that shouldn't be the problem either. I would venture to say that you might have a problem with the voltage regulator that plugs into the back side of the instrument cluster and regulates power to the cluster lighting, or you might have an issue with the cluster's printed circuit board, possibly either a break in the circuits, or with corrosion since the car has been sitting outside for so long. Hopefully one of our DCR electrical experts will chime in and give you some options to look at.

The orange wire behind the cluster is the lighting wire from the headlight switch. Orange can be found running all lighting dash fixtures.

Thanks guys! I just need to find some time to get the dash pannel pulled. I guess the flashers are back behind there somewhere, too?

No those are tucked at the bottom of the dash frame under the left side of the glove box.
