FYI, The mold for that hood was made from a hood that I provided. I saw AAR at Englishtown many years ago and asked if they made a hood for '66/'67 Coronets. They said no, partly because they couldn't find a good core to make a mold from. I bought a hood at the show and gave it to them for making a mold.
Well I drilled it for the molding. No problem with that but the original retainers/studs are not long enough. They need to be at least an inch long. The hood isn't that thick there but it is thicker than sheet metal. Here is a picture. The original on the right. The one on the left is from a piece of dash trim. It just pokes through. Not enough for a nut. Might have to make my own.
Next thing is the hood letters. No way they will go on like the original hood. I don't think the pegs will even go through. Going to have to use some other retainers. Like wall mollies or something. Then I think I might put "383 FOUR BARREL" emblems on the sides of the scoop.
