Sorry Rich but I bust up laughing when I read this, basically I saved it from the bad life LOL. Let me tell you about Max when I bought it.
The guy I guess was not very well liked in town and he got stoned in it while driving some back street luckily he had the windows up because he got hammered and none of the windows broke but got scratched up badly and dents in the body. One rear glass is still scratched today, I replaced the others since they were so bad. So he decided to sell it and get something less obvious to drive and that was my lucky night to see it. So scratched glass dents all over, bumpers smashed, it had a 400 engine with an auto and a suicide shifter poking through the 4-speed hole. Two speaker hacked into each door, stereo holes in dash. But I didnt care it had a good foundation being a 4-speed Dana red R/T with no rust. And at $1,300.00 bucks I couldnt pass it up. He had all the original drive train to go with it and console even the shifter is the one he gave me. I was told where he dumped the engine and I went a paid the wrecking yard $50 to get it back LOL.
And on the way home from picking it up it caught on fire under the dash somehwere, good thing I had a big gulp soda with me. So he was a 50 footer or more back then. But all fixed now and now enjoying the good life being driven.

I'm trying to figure out what happened, He got stoned, drove down a back street in a town where he wasn't liked, and got hammered? Like people took hammers to Max? Or drunk? Or stoned (which he already was)? Me can be dumb dumb too you know.
