Sorry guys, I'm not trying to be mean, just got a little busy.
So the car was sold new in Hawaii, it's heater delete. It's not my typical style as you'll see in the pics. There are lots of go fast goodies and I'm still trying to figure it all out. It has after market gauges in place of the original gauge cluster, I think the seat is wrong, maybe Jeff can give me some insight on what a 66 440 2dr should have. I found an electric fuel pump plumbed into the original fuel tank. There is lots of fuel plumbing under the hood that I need to sort out. It will need tail pipes as the exhaust dumps out of the mufflers in front of the rear axle, but the fuel pump might be in the way.
It has steep gears (I think 3:91) which won't be good for cruising to shows. Originally 3:23. It also had a deep sump oil pan on both the engine and transmission. And a full reverse manual valve body. I not sure I like the oil pans as I'm too used to driving big trucks and ground clearance is never on my mind. I already have a valve body for it, the original instrument cluster, a steering wheel.
The car has quite a bit of rust typical of being near salt air. All easily fixed, but it's not on the agenda anytime soon.
I'd like to get the gears take car of, valve body changed out, and I'd really like to upgrade the may-stop single braking system to dual. Does anyone have a suggestion on getting gears? If I can find used, should I? I'm never scared of used...
OK here are some pics
There's a lot of things under the hood I still need to figure out.

It's got a cool street racer vibe to it, I like it. Yes the seat is incorrect. 3:91's are a great go fast street gear, I had 'em in my '64 330. Not much fun on the freeway though. Please get rid of that steering wheel! What's under the hood?
If a man speaks while in his garage and his wife does not hear it, is he still wrong?
Cool car, thats the original color of my convertible, cant believe how nice the grille is, I would go with a new gear unless you know someone that wants to trade center sections or a used set of gears that were set up right.

It got one of those complicated engines.

The grill is nice because it only has 14,000 miles on it! It wasn't used very much.

Cool color and I love the hood scoop Rich. Interesting that it has a full manual automatic with a column shift. Before you dump the full manual automatic and 3.91 gears, drive it for awhile, you might end up really enjoying that combination.
