Torque Thrust D Wheels
#1
Over the last 4 years I have been itching to buy a set of Torque Thrust D 105 series wheels. I have seen them from $157 to $181 a wheel depending on what site your on.
I was surfing Ebay the other day and you can buy them as cheap as $80 bucks a wheel. That`s about half off regular price. I did some research, its hard to tell if they are junk from china?
The price makes me want to buy them. But I don`t want cheap crap.

Thoughts?
Thanks

I bet they are most made in China if new ones. I have order sets for customers and never had a problem but do let them know where they are from, mostly from summit with tires. If eBay look for McCormack racing they are good people and always answer the phone.
I hunted many years for a matched set of original Ds and finally found them. I just like the way they look over new ones.

I bought a set from Summit over Xmas for my GTX. But I agree the originals are cooler - just was not willing to search for them.

Not torque thrusts but for your entertainment! Vintage ET's that were on the car for probably most of its life.

Yes. An addition my Dad put on. Pulled a set at a yard YEARS ago. Funny thing is our car had the rt door replaced and it was a 66 with the upper molding. They just left it! So we just drilled the lt door and qtrs to complete. A note on the clips. They are non existent shocking right? I used plastic Christmas trees. The head slid into the channel perfectly and the serrations fit the holes snugly! No chipping paint or rust! They don't hold the that tight to the body but when you can't get em you deal with it. Also had to secure them with a dab of butyl so they wouldn't slide.

Those belt line clips certainly don't exist. You can bend the correct clips to fit, but you first have to find them!

What are these Christmas tree things you are talking about?

The black plastic push pins that hold fender liners, bumper covers, under hood trim etc on late model cars. They come in assorted sizes. Look like a thumb tack with a serrated pin
