Flaming River Tilt Steering Columns?
#11
The dreaded Mopar aftermarket "direct bolt on" part syndrome.........black eye

Would be interesting to see how their new "redesigned" Mopar column works out, but as Mike mentioned, there IS a difference in the metal dashboard openings for the steering columns between the 1965-1966 cars and the 1967-1969 cars. The 1965-1966 cars have a smaller diameter non-collapsible steering column while the 1967-1969 cars have a slightly larger diameter collapsible steering column, thus the difference in the size of the dashboard openings, so how does a "one size fits all" steering column work? Me thinks that GM guys making aftermarket reproduction parts for Mopars is a bad idea.

Maybe a sawzall, BFH, and mig welder are some of the tools required to install in instructions

Here is another advertised "direct bolt in" tilt steering column for the 1967-1969 B-Body cars offered by a company called Ididit.

Too bad that this company failed to allow owners to be able to use a factory stock steering wheel with this steering column. black eye
