I took my 67R/T to the track this weekend to see what it would run. I removed a 2 inch spacer to see if it made a difference. I wanted to take it out one last time before I started to remove the rest of the chrome trim and bumpers so I can finish the body work. I hope to have it ready for paint by spring break. I was surprised at the improvement. last November it went 12.96 at 108mph with the spacer. without the spacer it ran a best time of 12.51 at 108mph with a 1.90 60ft. That's the best 60ft time it has run with the 3.55 gear and 26 inch tall tire. Thinking of going to 3.91 or 4.10 with a taller tire after paint is done.

Cool! Remember that you won't be fitting much more than a 26 inch tire in a stock wheel well without some massaging. Now is the time to massage if you are going to before you paint.

You are right markz the inner wheel wells were one of the things I was going to look into. I was selling a set of wheel houses but decided to keep them untile I figured out if might need them to modify mine. I did fit a 31 1050 15 truck tire in there with a 7 inch rim but I don't think they would fit with my 8 inch rims. I think I read somewhere that a 275 60 15 fits, those are 28 inch I believe. My 275 50 15 rub a little on some turns if there is a dip in the road. I am researching drag radials that are out now because mine are showing some cracking. I was using BFG drag radials.
