Bio: Retired generational Mopar family person.
Love life, God, family, The Great White North and of course….. All of my Mopars
usually the drum will break free with enough pressure and hammering ? I had to use a sawzall on my 65 coronet 4 door car and actually cut a 2 inch wide piece out of the drum and brake shoe. It still needed a big hammer to let go .

I use this tool and method plus a hammer pounding on end of puller helps, notice how the shop dog got away when the big hammer came out LOL

Same puller have plenty of tension on enough to twist my pry bar in a U.just dont want to break anything!!using 2 pipes 4-6ft long to spin puller plenty of leverage. Will try the heat this weekend

Maybe try with tool and nut off, spray more PB blaster or similar on shaft where key way is and cover with a rag and blast with compressed air then let sit for a few more days.

thanks ill try that first before heat.guess theres no way to drive keyway back some ?doesnt it taper in?

That would lock drum on even tighter, since yes it tapers. Good thought though

The trick with any taper is whacking it with a hammer. Once you get the puller tight, you need to keep whacking the end of the puller. Also try to use the axle end play to your advantage by pulling the assembly toward you before each blow.
Just another thought on the subject.

I have a different rust chemical.going to break puller down apply blow into with compress air (as recommended )apply again "tap"the heck out it to try and loosen hold.then try puller /heat in this order and hopefully. ..... (im beginning to believe this is why seller sold it said changed mind about fixin up LOL.)

so.....i removed puller tried spraying rust chemical on spindle taping the hub i decided to look at other spindle realized spindle has a shoulder so chemical wont get to back.my puller came with a 4th leg so decided to put that one on too 4 better than 3 right? went thru same process spun as tight as can nothing! then just like any other man would do
i read the DIRECTIONS that came with puller AFTER TIGHTENING PULLER HIT HANDLE END WITH A LARGE HAMMER. but ..... some say nay some yea? ANYWAY i hit it with a 2lb hammer.................................................................and POP GOES THE WEASEL !!!!!!!!!!
