Can we got or 'turn on' a 'thank you' feature on this forum?

I reckon it would be good to have here. Creates an environment where people want to help out others and see that others are thankful for useful posts.

If someone wants to thank someone for taking the time to type out a response to their question, all it takes is a few seconds to type out a quick thank you and hit reply.

Having a "Thank You" button or link fosters an environment where the thanking someone for their effort takes on zero meaning. No thought or effort is required to thank someone, just click the mouse and it's done.

We thank you for the suggestion, however we must decline it.

I get it..But as an owner of a forum myself that has over 164,000 posts and 9,770 members, I can tell you those that take the time to post thanks are rare. It might work on a forum this size. And after all it is your call. So I am good with it. Wink

Tek. I agree with you. It's a great function on the F*BO sites. Quick and handy shout out.

If someone takes their valuable time to help me out, the very least that I can do to show them my gratitude is to type out a sincere thank you message. Clicking on a "thank you" button, or using a "thank you Smiley" does not convey that same sincere thank you that a typed out message does. Just one man's opinion though.
