I started on the pass side floor, I noticed that it was rusted out when I was inspecting the car to take it to the track in San Antonio. Now the fun begins. I'm seeing more needs as I go deeper.

Objects quickly DISAPPEAR in the rearview mirror and PLEASE stay seated until the ride comes to a complete stop!!
Well I was going to cut what I needed from a 67 Belvedere im parting out but it was rusted in the same area, so I will be cutting the piece from the trunk lid that came with the car. It good thick metal. Here are some pictures of the headliner I did last month too. I'm thinking I might have a couple of chrome pieces to fill the sail panel joints.

Thanks for starting build thread
Here's some pictures of the patch panel and spot welds. Started on the perimeter but ran out of wire. Still need to form the bottom edge though. It should look better after I grind down the welds and put some primer on it.

What are the plans for the hood?
Do you mean the one I cut the patch panel from? I actually was thinking of using the frame structure and making a fiberglass lid. But now that I found an original one for 67 I'm not sure.
I just finished the floorboard patch. I think I did ok, I haven't really done much wire feed welding, just stick to this point. I'll have to grind down some of the bigger welds but it is a solid piece now. I beat on it with a big hammer and it sounds good and solid. Next to look at the driver side.
