5.7 hemi conversion into my 67 Coronet 500 project thread
#11
I'm interested. I know there are crate LS motors that plug and play. I'd love to do a hemi swap!

Using indy cylinder heads mod man intake, with single 4 barrel holley 780 cfm. was professionally built for this engine application.
will be using msd's hemi6 for spark control of the coil packs, timing, tuning, and so forth.
im keeping the original transmission, 904 automatic...although fresh rebuild with all the goodies in it...$$$.
long tube TTI headers, and mounts...
still working on AC compressor and design...
still working on power steering pump and pressure design....

need to paint under hood first...
I like em' clean and pretty.

Have you checked out Bouchillon Performance in SC? They got bunch of stuff for power steering and stuff when doing a swap.

I envy you, I have always wanted to do a modern swap. BTW... I LOVE the rims on your car... they compliment the body side mouldings.

YES SIR... keeping a lot of old school feel and look. plus I don't have to change my mounts, driveshaft, linkages, tunnel, etc...
and it bolts right up with a special flexplate and converter. I had the 904 built with the best of everything so hopefully as long as I "baby" it with care it will last me a good while...

hopefully I will get back to working on this soon...trying to close on my house and buy a new one...tuff stressful situation.
