why is the superstock dodge package referred to as the a990 package. was that on the fender tag or part of the vin #?

I think it was the order code a buyer checked off on the order form.

These cars were VIN# RO51, Plymouth and WO51, Dodge. A-990 was Chrysler's code for the project building, A-990 just got "stuck" on those cars.
Objects quickly DISAPPEAR in the rearview mirror and PLEASE stay seated until the ride comes to a complete stop!!
