If you really want to hide it AND use parts that you can get anywhere, there is a bracket to mount a GM HEI amplifier under a mopar electronic distributor. Almost invisible to the casual observer and no holes on your firewall. http://www.designed2drive.com/

For ultimate reliability though go with MSD. I once had my alternator fail on my truck while leaving Englishtown (drag strip). The truck made it all the way home at night, the battery was so low that the headlights barely lit up and the truck still ran. A MOPAR ignition ECU has a very high threshold voltage near 10 volts if I remember correctly and CERTAINLY would have left me on the side of the road with no spark. I think the MSD 6 will produce useable spark down to 5 volts.

I've been running the Direct Connection / Mopar Performance electronic ignition conversion kits on all of my small and big block powered Mopars forever and other than the issue with the orange ECU boxes many years ago, I've never had any other problems, or ever been stranded with the MP set-up and that issue was fixed by upgrading to one of the MP chrome ECU boxes, so I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the MP conversion kits, but then again, on my Coronet I don't care about having everything looking factory original. That ship sailed many years ago when the 440 was installed and the bright yellow paint was applied.

I have the Pertronix Ignitor III and the Flamethrower Coil. It's an awesome setup. I was not impressed with their plug leads though. Don't get me wrong, they are GREAT quality, but they were not all the right lengths for my 383. So it's not looking exactly correct in the engine bay. I will change them this winter so it looks more stock.

If owners do not want to drill any holes to mount the ECU box, here's an option to avoid having to do that.
