2014 - 32nd Annual Pick Nick Event, Forssa Finland

HI all!


Well! A very surprising end to today's Pick Nick Car show in Forssa, Finland's largest car event.


A mate of mine, talked me into entering my car to be judged in the competition. I was not so sure, there were some really good cars in the 60's classification. But I entered it anyway.


So, rather than stay to see the prize ceremony and after seeing the level of the competition, I said to Sari (my wife) let's go home. ON the way I get a phone call from the judges, and turns out I won 3rd place in the 1960's classification! WOW!


My mate, walked away with FIRST place in his classification "Tuning & Performance" SO a big CONGRAT'S to him! And thanks for talking me into entering as well!

By the way, in my 60's class, the winner was an immaculate Dodge Super Bee




Real HEMI car! You can see why I was not confident..hehe..


Second place went to mustang of some sort..Looked great too, but it's a mustang so my camera refused to take any shots of it!..Only joking, I forgot to take any as I was busy cleaning my car while it was getting judged. Then it disappeared into the throng of over a 1,000 cars.


But I was happy that Dodges took First and Third today!

There were over 2,500 cars at this event I just found out. I could not believe it when a mate told me that. I thought sure a thousand or so, but more than 2,500! Makes me feel even better to be in the top 3 for my class. So many cool cars..and some OLD Coronets among them too!

A friend of mine was at Louisville KY last week for a street rod gathering, 10,500 cars!!!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing the pics! Looks like a great show with many nice cars. This real `68 Hemi Bee has been in Sweden before it were imported to Finland.
But I have only seen it on pics.
