Can anyone tell me what shape/style exhaust tips a 68 Coronet R/T came out with?

I think most of them had the Chrome rectangular tips that stuck out just passed (under) the bumper. If it was destined for California the tail pipes would turn down just in before the bumper. (noise restriction in CA)

Do those tips sound good with a 440?

There should be a hanger specifically mede to hold them if your has the "L" bracket. Also a good source for parts is Classicindustries.com
