I have checked several websites, tried to decode it myself, and its always conflicting what I am suppose to have and not have.
Thought I would give it a go here, this site seems to be really knowledgeable in Coronets specific.

All I know is it has 58k orig miles(supposedly) older couple had bought it new in Kingsport TN. I am third owner I believe...so most if anything done to car was done from the original owner.
car has 273 with a 4bbl(looks factory) bucket seats console, air condition automatic car.
Yellow with black interior. I can tell interior was once white, and one of the websites said it had a white vinyl top on it...??? dunno. then one website says nothing about it.

what is easiest way to find out what size rear housing I have?
diameter of rear axel sleeves? hog head? etc...
There were 3 automatics. 1-small block 318's used the A904LA type. 2-big blocks used the A727B. 3-small blocks with high performance applications (like the 340) used the 727A. Auto trans type can be id'd by the family code that appears in raised letters that are 3/8 inch high on the lower left hand side of the bell housing. This is only the family type and there are internal differences within each family. On the oil pan side rail on the drivers side of the trans is a serial number which can further id build date, assembly plant, and the trans part number.
easiest way to ID a trans in the car- 904 pan is in the shape of a square with a corner cut off. a 727 will be square with an extra piece on one corner. 904 only came behind small blocks. 727 came behind small and big blocks but are not interchangeable(only internally)
