Superior Brackets on Axle
#1
I took these off my 54 stock axle. They look like it could have been for coil springs, maybe for extra weight and towing... My car did not have a tow hitch on it, So I'm wondering if this was factory? Did your old Mopar have them? Just curious to know more about themConfused Thanks

looks after market to me. there was something similar on my 65 coronet(no tow hitch) when I got it. some ones attempt at raising/reinforcing the rear of the car without replacing the leaf springs.

The aftermarket company Superior Industries use to sell these hot items in the JC Whitney catalog.

I have taken a few of these off cars after fixing the springs

Cool deal thanks for the info. I think the person put these on but never installed coils. I say it because I see no rub or wear marks ... Thanks again!
