The fore/aft location is determined by the two side stripes being centered over the side marker light holes. These two pieces aretaped in place. The third, or trunk piece, is then matched up with the two side pieces. All three pieces will have to be adjusteduntil they all match up, while keeping the two side (fender) pieces centered fore/aft with the marker light holes. I'm not sure why you are asking for these measurements, but if it is for the purpose of applying the decals, measurements from another car won'treally help you much. None of the sheet metal on these cars is exactly the same, especially if repairs and/or replacement partshave been used on either vehicle. There is an article in Mopar Muscle Magazine describing applying a butt stripe to a 69 Charger, which is close enough to a Bee to be useful.http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/techa...6711&6,tss

I want to apologize for seriously bad info. While it is true the 69 Dart. Coronet and Charger stripes can use the the marker light hole as locators for the stripe, it is not so on the 68. The stripe on the 68 coronet does not overlap the marker hole in any way. Looking at pictures of the car I can't see any reference except a measurement to locate the stripe. Even then I would say that no 2 stripes would be in the exact same position, but the difference would be so small as not to be noticable. I am going to have to put a stripe on my car, so I am going to need an answer to this question myself. I thought that the answer I gave you was correct, but I looked at my car and realized it was not. Again I'm sorry for any confusion I may have caused.

Not one 68 Coronet of any type at the Autorama. If I find any info I will let you know.

If it was me, I'd start with the bee inside the logo. It lines up very close to the marker light.3722Line up the outer edge of the thicker stripes with the edge of the circle. Put the real thin outer most stripes on last. Use a lot of soap and water and squeege carefully.
I didn't have to put the tail stripe on my '68 Bee. I did have to put the tailight panel stripe on it. 3721Only one company made that stripe (Performance Car Graphics) at the time. They were very helpful and included good instructions. |
