So I'm curious about these, What is a reasonable price for these? Has anyone purchased one or is their much interest in them?

You can find them, and they shouldn't break the bank.

I do believe that one was the nos one for mega bucks. But I can't even remember my own name.

I was curious as I actually found one in the trunk of mine when I cleaned it out after purchase. I don't have the center cap. My car has the standard wheel installed. I'm not sure if the "recall" wheel was on it originally or not and I'm not sure if the fender tag would indicate this or not. It is a neat looking wheel and it cleaned up nicely. Sure don't think it's worth what the eBay guy was asking though.

We've had a discussion about most all of the factory wood grain steering wheels including the 1967 only "recall" wheels awhile back. There were actually two different versions of the 1967 "recall" wheel. The original version that featured an opening, or slot in each of the three spokes and the second version which had horn button bars installed in each of the three spoke openings. Chrysler offered the second version with the horn button bars as an effort to address an issue that was brought to their attention. The issue in question was that drivers were getting their fingers cut, or hurt when they stuck their fingers into the openings in the steering wheel spokes while driving. This problem was caused by the sharp edges in the spoke openings and since the spokes were chromed, dealers, or customers themselves were not able to fix those sharp edges without damaging the chrome finish, so the horn button bars were added as a temporary model year fix. In 1968, rather than staying with the horn button bars, Chrysler decided to redesign the spokes and that redesign was used for the 1968 and 1969 wood grain wheels.

Thanks Richard and ws27. I had caught a few little mentions about them here in the forums. Looks as though they were never officially "recalled" but after starting to clean mine up, I'd agree those edges are sharp. Not sure yet if I'll use it or not. Too many other parts to get first. :-)
The funny thing is that I was going to bolt it on my little boys playhouse until I saw the eBay post and thought it looked familiar. Glad I didn't do that!!!

If you have one in nice condition, I'd definitely take care of it, as they are getting more and more difficult to find due to their one year only production run.
