Drag-Net Wrote:Rare............. There are probably more 66 Coronet hemi cars than any other hemi car ever made.... Hello Danny, Galen Govier says that there were a total of 339 1966 Hemi Coronet 500 2 door hardtops produced, 205 with 4 speed transmissions and 135 with automatic transmissions. The REALLY rare 1966 Hemi Coronets were the 3, maybe 4 four door cars. One in White, one in Red, one in Gold and possibly one in Blue. The Red and Gold cars are automatics for sure and I believe that the White one is as well, but the elusive Blue one is said to be a 4 speed. The Red car is well documented and I've seen pictures of the White one and the Gold one is now owned by Mike Ross who owns BE&A Restoration Parts in Ohio. I'd absolutely love to see the Blue 4 speed car if it's out there somewhere! Richard The Red Car. And Mike's Gold car as it looked when he purchased it a few years ago.

The white one is in the Garltis museum in Florida. That was the car that inspired me to create a copy with my 4-door and hemi drivetrain and hence the name of my handle on this site. Car is coming along, slowly but surely.

Another interesting bit of information regarding the 1966 Hemi 4 door Coronets. A bit vague, but it does say that 4 of these cars were produced and that the elusive 4th car was exported to Finland. Maybe this is the Blue 4 speed car?
