The instructions for a Centerforce diaphragm type clutch state that you should not use a clutch pedal return spring with this type of clutch. Which spring are they talking about?
1. The large over-center spring inside the car or...
2. The smaller spring that runs from the bell housing to the fork.

If you don't remove the over center spring, the clutch pedal will stick to the floor at higher RPM's. I found out first hand!

It's not all that easy to remove IIRC.

Thanks guys. I thought that the heavy one inside is what they meant, but I just wanted to be sure.

Not too hard - depress the pedal and put shims between the coils and it will slip right off.
