Went and bought myself another classic (not a Mopar).

It's a 68 F100. 240 I6 3spd on the column. Long bed 2wd. 52,000 original miles. I bought it from the son of the original owner. Original Tennesee truck.

My oldest brother had a red 68 f100 short bed 6cyl, 3 on the tree. Of course that was the early 80's (when I was a kid).
Seeing pics of your truck really takes me back. Looks great! Thanks for the post.
In case you were wondering the black outs on the vertical segments of the grill are factory for 1968.

Nice truck, what did they use it for, Styrofoam? LOL

Wow, looks like it was never used.

You grabbed a good one.

What are your plans with it?

It had a camper shell in it. No big plans. Just going to upgrade to electronic distributor to get rid of the points. New plugs, cap, rotor and wires and drive it.
There have been no repairs done to this thing. I won't be able to go down and get it til late January. Working thru til January 9th minus a couple days for the holidays and my divorce will be final January 14th.

If you can keep it out of the salt, it will last forever.

Those things rusted up pretty fast in our area.

Yea, that's the problem up here, keeping it out of the salt! I had bought on 85 Dodge Ram, fullsize, slant 6 from a guy that moved up here from TN. The truck was in great shape, but it was my daily driver. The rear quarters were rusting out when I sold it, it had 195,000 miles on, but that 6 just kept on a hummin'!!!!!!!!!!!
Objects quickly DISAPPEAR in the rearview mirror and PLEASE stay seated until the ride comes to a complete stop!!

I saw one of these back in April at the Portland swap meet, it was rusty, missing some parts, quite rough but the owner was asking big bucks for it and there was a small crowd hovering over it and a few of them had Ford jackets or hats so these people knew what they were looking at. It did sell but was wisked away so quickly I never had a chance to find out for how much. Nice score, they definetely are nice looking trucks!
