Finished the driver side door seal and roof rail seal today. The door seal fits better than the passenger side too on the top wide flap area.

I received the last seal I needed to finish the door seals last week. The first time out was this weekend and it was almost freezing so it was a good test as to how well the new seals worked. I warmed up the interior with an electric heater I use in the garage. The car was warm for the 20 minute ride even with 25 mph head winds. Better yet the usual exhaust smell inside the car was not there either. Here is a pic of the last piece of the puzzle, for now lol.

I got my new Mickey Thompson drag radials mounted Thursday to be ready for Friday. The track opener was supposed to be this weekend but it was drizzly yesterday and racing was cancelled till today. I just sent a message to see how the weather is on that side of town, they are about 30 minutes from me.

Well I found the pentastar I ordered for the fender it was misplaced. So here is another last piece of the puzzle. I should have called this thread my R/T project the never ending story, lol. I started out just wanting to put a fresh coat of paint on it but it turned into so much more. I surely didn't do as complete a restoration as I have seen others post but I'm happy to have ended up with a descent looking driver I can enjoy. After all is said and done that's what this hobby is about. Driving the cars we enjoy. Thanks for all your helpful information and encouragement along the way.
Ken

I cleaned up the car to take it to the track this past weekend. Mostly worked on the launch and 60 ft times. Best 60ft was 1.83 and best 1/8 mile time was 8.10. Only made one full pass and went 12.78 with no adjustments other than timing and air pressure.
