Another quick and readily available polish for plastic parts such as lenses and chrome is tooth paste. Hopefully we all have some. Added bonus is that your now clean items have a minty fresh smell. Soft Scrub does have enough abrasive in it to scratch plastic if you shake it up enough.

Yup, I used it on my kid's headlights, worked great!!
Objects quickly DISAPPEAR in the rearview mirror and PLEASE stay seated until the ride comes to a complete stop!!
