Silver Lake sand dunes are a smaller in area than the Pismo beach dunes. There is around 3,000 acres of dunes but only around 500 acres are used for vehicles.

This link is from my gopro video.
The video is a little deceiving. The dunes are pretty steep. I was surprised how good the truck did. There were many vehicles that couldn't make it up to the top. Had 12 PSI in the tires.

Back when my powerwagon was solely a beach truck it had a built 318 1/2 ton axles( light was key) 15x10 wheels with Yokohama super diggers tires, it was the fastest around except for the blown big block machines. 3 pounds air psi bead locks was key. Could stop half way up the hill then tale again like glue to the sand.

That was our make MoPar proud days of the 90S for Troxellsgarage.com
