Holly smokes.... Bad Bad
#1
For those who do follow posts on here and answer to most questions, Like myself....

Holly smokes!!!

I replaced the adjuster sleeve on the right front tie rod assembly. Yup it was slopped out because the alignment guy never tightend up the clamps. Okay Threads were good on the ends, I chased them with a 1/2 x 20 thread chaser. Yeah Im anal...

Rewind a year ago, I replaced the steering box. TEXT BOOK replacement! Tight with thread locker..... or did I?

After the sleeve job I checked to see if clunk was gone. Nope!
Had the wife come out and run the wheel.

I watched and the steering box!
It was 100% off the mount and just laying there!

I've done that before on my four door but the bolts were still in the holes of the box.

I'm excited to drive it again. Last year it drove GOOD for being 46 years old!
This spring when I took it out it wasn't fun to drive. I was thinking of selling it because it drove so bad!
We got a big car show this weekend and a cruse after.. It's going to be fun!

They loosened up when I replaced the box on my 66 also. Forgot to clean the threads on the K-frame, so Loctite never worked
