'66 CORONET 500 BUILD SHEET
#1
Ok, guys, I've puzzled over this for a while so I'm looking for some help. I got a laminated build sheet with my '66 when I bought it. I haven't been able to find any way to properly decode it, though it apperas to include all the pieces on my car. Here's the kicker....both the S.O # and VIN # on the build sheet are exactly 88 numbers before the S.O. & VIN on my car. Asking around the MOPAR gang here at home, I'm being told that these numbers may not necessarily match the numbers on the car and it's possible the build sheet could still be the correct one. Can't find anything on the internet so I figure I might as well post the numbers on the sheet to see if any of my Registry buddies may have a way to decode the sheet or have a Coronet to match the numbers. Whew!

S.O # 11108392
VIN # wp23e67198544

Thanks,

If you have a fairly common interior, say black, it's common to get the wrong sheet.
That what it sounds like happened here. If the SO and VIN do not match your car, the sheet does not go to car.

I had a 69 Charger, triple green, I had 3 build sheets from the car, none were for the car, one was a for duplicate, but different VIN#, second one was for a slant 6, 3 on the tree, last one was for a R/T and it was loaded, all cars were triple green!!
Objects quickly DISAPPEAR in the rearview mirror and PLEASE stay seated until the ride comes to a complete stop!!

Thanks, guys, considering the build sheet & my car's VIN both indicate they were built on the same day, it's likely that's exactly what happened. Guess I won't display the sheet in my windshield anymore. My first clue that something was different was when I noticed the engine RPMs seemed a bit high on the highway - the build sheet indicates that the car has a 2:9 rear ratio which was what the seller told me as well but I think he was going by the build sheet. I haven't checked but I think the rear end is lower (numerically higher) than that. Not a big deal. I'd love to hear from anyone that has the car that fits the build sheet - be happy to send them the sheet, it's in great shape. It would be even better to hear from anyone that might have the sheet to go with my car but I stopped believing in Santa years ago....

Keep displaying it if you'd like. It'd make a great conversation piece.
