67 RT Trunk Tail Panel Trim

Does anyone know a good place to get my 67 RT trunk panel refinished? The pot metal is worn and lost most of the chrome finish. What price could I expect?

Oh-boy. This is the Achilles heal of 67 Coronets. They are impossible to find, almost impossible to rechrome correctly, and impossible to afford.

Aren't I the optimist...

It will be hard to find a really good rechromer, 10 years ago, I got a finish panel and both tail light housings rechromed (not repainted) for about 1500.00. I assume it's only higher now. The biggest problem with them is they are very detailed. When they work it over, usually they polish some of the sharp lines off or at least make them less sharp.

Ask around for some one you can trust to rechrome without losing detail and make it clear to the guy you don't want to lose any of it.

Yup, what Rich said! I knew a guy in Chicago that was doing them, but I tell you, he was expensive!!!!!!
