Wiring Issue - markbob@ameritech.net - 05-01-13

Hey everyone....

am installing my wiring harness in the dash of the 69 Coronet....

I had my harness redone by Mr Heaterbox....as well as my heater control panel....

I am trying to connect everything up....and the harness has a Dark Green wire labeled heater control...

My heater control has 4 wires coming out of it, and these appear to connect the heater control with the
heaterbox resistor....

it appears I am missing something, as I have connected the heater control to the heaterbox resistor, but there is no power to the control....

can anyone help?

thanks,

Mark

Have you checked the fuse feeding the heater control?

Hello.....

I figured it out......the heater control has 4 wires with 3 in one connector, and 1 in the other....
The heaterbox resistor has room for 2 connectors....I believe the dash harness connects with the single connector on the heater control, and the connector with the 3 wires goes to the heaterbox....this brings power to the resistor in the heaterbox...
the other lead on the resistor is for the heater blower motor....

hopefully I didn't confuse anyone with this rediculous post...

Well now another wrinkle
I checked the fuse block with a light tester
I have power coming in the bottom of the nimber two (L to R)
slot but nothing coming out the top
the number 6 has nothing coming in either too or
bottom
i suspect a bad fuse on number 2 but number 6 is
baffling

will repost once i get the steering column hooked up
