Is this one of those new case differentials? How does it look? RE: 1967 Coronet 'Restoration' - Piper - 10-24-23 It looks great, the center section looks a lot different to me. I've heard great things about it. RE: 1967 Coronet 'Restoration' - 67440Dodge - 10-24-23 It come with a Eaton sure grip or a Auburn? RE: 1967 Coronet 'Restoration' - Piper - 10-24-23 He calls it a Sure Trac, check it out. https://www.doctordiff.com/8-3-4-helical-gear-sure-grip-sure-trac.html RE: 1967 Coronet 'Restoration' - Piper - 10-24-23 Some other updates, engine builder called about the motor, he went to put the cam bearings in and the last journal is egg shaped, said the variance is from 4 to 7 thousandths between them. He is going to see about oversized bearings and line bore it. Also looking for one bucket seat...I've been stocking piling these parts for years. Pretty slick RE: 1967 Coronet 'Restoration' - Piper - 10-24-23 Some progress nothing to exciting other to document what I'm doing. Rear is in, need to get driver axle in Notes for posterity: Center Section to Housing torque to 45 foot lbs and axle flanges 35 foot lbs. RE: 1967 Coronet 'Restoration' - Piper - 10-28-23 Rear is in and back on the ground for the first time in years RE: 1967 Coronet 'Restoration' - 65rbdodge - 10-28-23 Awesome! That has to be a good feeling RE: 1967 Coronet 'Restoration' - 67r/t4speeder - 10-28-23 Always a good feeling to get em back on the ground. |
