Last time I bought Sta-Lube I had to drive 45 minutes to a Napa that actually had it in stock. one that was half hour away that showed it in stock called me when I ordered online and said the website was wrong, they were out and weren't ordering any more.

If atf scares you use GM Syncromesh fluid...about a 50wt gear lube

Just take note that GL5 does not play well with yellow metals like ssyncros... GL 4 is OK but I would still use atf.

Gear lube 7s designed to absorb shock loads that you don't see in constant mesh transmissions.
