A500/518 OD swap - 67r/t4speeder - 01-25-16
Has anyone on here put one of these OD trans behind there cars? I have seen a couple big blocks done with the aftermarket bell, but you would think a 3.9 to a LA would be close to a bolt on ??
I am ending up with a 500 out of a `89 Dakota V6 3.9 so I was considering putting it in place of my 904 in Jr if possible. One step closer to having a Carlisle runner .

3.9 to LA should be a bolt on. I think you will need to wire in a switch to control the OD. Ive read into this swap a little bit and people have done it. So you should be able to find info on it. I'm pretty sure you will need to modify your trans tunnel and fab your own trans mount.

7933]Here is my donor A500 out of a Dakota to replace my 904 in `67 Dart. I will save all the wiring and dash switch to maybe use. First I will check out condition of transmission even thought it worked perfect it is old.
