I check for power with a test light on the back of the gages and one terminal on each gage makes the test light flicker . I cant get it to keep a constant light , like I got a bad connection but no matter how I wiggle the connections it still just flashes intermittenly . The steering colum and dash panal are loose . Do they need to be tight to get a good ground ? Thanks . BooBoo . I,m wrong , I,m getting a flickering light on both terminals on both gages .
Are the lights (for the gauges) not working or the gauges themselves?
The gages are inop . The lights work great . I just hooked power from the positive battery to the temp sending unit and it pegged the gage .
Those two gauges are powered through a voltage limiter. You should look there first. And I do believe the whole cluster is grounded through the dash screws.
Ahhh and where might I find the voltage limiter sir ?
You need to make your own limiter like I did in the picture, Or buy a new board Like I did as well. I fixed one problem and made a new one by breaking off a pin.
My dash works perfect now.

There is a article online on how to make your own... Google mopar voltage limiter upgrade, or just buy the new board with the solid state limiter built right in.. about $150.00 from Classic Industries.
They are still available in your local parts store..
BWD part number R307... GP Sorensen has them also but don't know the part #
Oh man ,,, I da never figured that one out . Thanks ! BooBoo
Here is the one I got from classic industries. Its for a 67 . Notice the solid state limiter on the left side. I had to buy it because I broke off two pins on my old one that I just fixed.
My gages work now, before they did not..
