me too. no one but me has ever worked on any of my cars(since i`ve owned them). with the exception of the machiene work on the block.
If paint is in the near future? Always wash car with Dawn dish soap as many times leading up to the paint / body work process. Trust me when I say wax kills a paint job! Those green scotch bright pads are useful as well!
If in doubt? Wash it again with a heavy helping of Dawn soap!
I'm not sure what type of friends you have? But I'd find a friend around your same age and interest in old cars. Paint and body work etc
It's hard when your on your own and making a new friend never hurts either.. Just a thought...
