Slight delay on the EFI project. The person that owns the car had a death in the family that was out of state. Should be back on track. Going to order the Fitech system tomorrow.
Ordered the EFI (Fitech 30003), cam shaft, heads and intake from Summit today. Should have everything except the intake by Wednesday. That should be here Thursday.
Exciting Joe, can you list the parts?
Cam shaft- Comp CL-221-3, Edelbrock timing set- 2103, Edelbrock heads- 60779, Edelbrock intake- Performer RPM 7176.
Also freshened the engine (.030 bore, stock compression) crank only needed polishing. Went through the tran also. Trans. was smoked from a bad leak from the park cable. The rubber covering burnt off a caused the leak. It was tough to find a new cable. It was $229.
Finally received most of the parts that I need. Still waiting for head bolts & head gaskets and waiting for the machine shop to finish the block. Should have it back by the end of this week.
Finally another update! I've had a lot of delays due to the owner of the car lost a family member that lived out of state and I could not get a hold of him and there was a long delay from the machine shop. Not sure why? They had the block for over 2 months. I should have it running by the end of the week. I was going to install A/C but that's going to have to wait until later in the year. I've been putting off a other projects until this is finished.

Finally making time to update this thread. I had a few problems with the 63 that was driving me crazy. After the EFI start up the car would idle great and had good throttle response (In my driveway) When I tried to drive the car It would die within 1/4 mile of my house.
I attached a picture of the Fitech dash. The engine should rev but not this good. I had to install a shielded wire for the tach signal. That still didn't fix the car from stopping 1/4 mile from my house. After pulling my hair out I noticed that the coil was leaking oil.
Removed and inspected it. It had a hair line crack at the negative terminal. After replacing the coil the car runs like a dream. I would recommend FItech to anyone who would want to try EFI.
58880, So is that on a turbine engine?

Joe mama, thanks for the walk-through and parts list for your conversion. Plan on doing the same thing in the near future. Will definitely refer back to this thread.
Thanks!
