Can anyone tell me if the line coming out of the gas tank sending unit, should be a 45 or a 90 degree angle. I need to get a new sending unit but they advertise both different ones on ebay. This is for 67 Coronet with a 5/16 line. Unfortunatly my car is 200 miles from me so I can't check it myself. Thanks in advance.

Could you please give us a little more information on what you're asking about?

If you're asking about the sending unit, I can't speak for the station wagon models, but all of the 2 and 4 door hardtop and sedan models use the same basic sending units that exit at the front end of the fuel tank in front of the backside of the rear differential. The sending unit has a small straight piece of steel tubing that allows it to be connected via rubber fuel line to the main section of steel fuel line that goes from the sending unit connection at the fuel tank up to the connection at the fuel pump. The only difference in the 66-67 B-Body sending units is their size, which from the factory was either 5/16", or 3/8".

As far as the main fuel line itself, most all aftermarker main fuel lines from the fuel tank to the fuel pump are sold as the one below is.

Thanks Richard, you actually answered my question. I was talking about the small steel tubing.

Thank You, Dan.

Hello Dan,

Excellent, glad I was able to help. Cool

Below is a picture of the 3/8" fuel sending unit that I just installed on my 1966 Coronet 500. Your 5/16" sending unit should look the same except for the slightly smaller diameter steel tubing. The piece of tubing that you were asking about is the small piece located on the far right side of the round mounting plate on the right side of the sending unit. As you can see, it's a straight piece of tubing that allows you to use rubber flexible fuel line hose to connect the sending unit to the main section of steel fuel line that runs down the passenger side of the car up to the fuel pump.
