Piper, Do I win a prize for noticing that your member join date shows as Jul 2000 and the rest of us show as Jan 2013? Gotta yank your chain once in awhile buddy! Aren't ya glad I'm back? LOL!

I think of you more as the "Pied Piper", because no matter where you take us with this DCR journey, we will follow right along with you my friend!
Richard
we are all a bunch of noobs again...lol...
Is it possible to database our old stuff? We had a lot of great tech topics and things like that...would be sweet if we could somehow search it...not sure how tough that would be.
Yea.. you're all a bunch of non-quals...
The old site technically still exists, but can only be accessed by Kevin or myself, and some portions are not viewable (ie anything in Photopost). Stuff can be brought back, but requires work to get it done (ie Road
's resto thread).

There were several of us who had rather extensive threads posted in the restoration forum that most likely won't be done again, so it would be nice if those kinds of threads could be retrieved at some point in the future after everything is sorted out here on the nerw site.

I mirror Richards' thoughts on this.

The decision to start fresh was not an easy one trust me. I spent a good chunk of that Saturday trying to get the old board migrated to the new one. The old host backup process was not compatible with the new host, and we tried many different ways to get the data over. So many that the new hosting service flagged Kevin's IP address as a denial of service attack and shut us down.
If you give me the name of the thread, or what it was about (and an approximate date it was posted), I can retrieve it for you. I'll give it to you either via a PDF, XPS, DOCX or TXT file and you can copy/paste it into a new thread here.
