interior paint
#1
I,m painting the interior steel in my 67 . I already did the dash and glove compartment lid in semi gloss black and trimed in silver . Looks good if I must say so myself . What was used from the factory as far as painting the steel parts in the interior such as the doors and bottom of dash and steering colume ? Gloss like what was on the body ? Semi gloss ? Thanks . I wanna say the dash was a flat or semi gloss black and the upper and lower portions of the inside doors were a gloss black.

Yeah . I think you right . I went ahead and painted the dash , top and bottom with flat black . And the plastic semi gloss . Havn,t dont the doors yet but they look gloss . So thats what i'll do there . The crome trim in the interior is pitted real bad . So I sanded it down , primed it , wey sanded and put chrome tape over it . LOL . Looks nice belive it or not . If it starts peeling I guess I'll paint it . Cant find any repo chrome interior parts . BooBoo

The plastic dash parts were electro chrome plated and then painted black on top of the chrome i believe.

Well I put the chrome tape on the rest of the parts and it looked like crapola . Just to many improfections to work out . Even slicing and poking air bubbles out you can see the inperfections . So I painted it a chrome paint look alike and it aint too bad I guess . This aint a restoration , just sometning to make not so hard on the eye . BooBoo
