67 Coronet grey/silver strips top and bottom of grill
#1
I pulled out the original grill from my R/T from storage. I remembered seeing that the grill was black with silver or grey stripes horizontally on each edge of the top and bottom on the vertical bars. The one mounted on the car is all silver color. I've seen others that were either black, and some were silver. Anyone know which is correct. I'll post a picture after work, I repainted the black part but it definitely has a strip on the top and bottom. Thanks for your help.

I've seen that one but also saw some pics of the recent show at Carlyle, and a couple of cars had the black grill. I have seen others on the Web that way also. THIS is the way I got it with the car. I just redid the black part to see if I would do the one one the car the same.

This is what I'm talking about. I've seen a few like this and some natural finish.

Not factory but if YOU like it go for it! Why be the same as everyone else?

I put the 500 grill center on that I have and the chrome seems to line up with the grey line although there are no cross bars. Do they bolt on or what?

That is the result of combining a RT center grille section and headlight doors with a Coronet 500 grille without stripping the black paint off the Coronet 500 grille.
