I remember these - 67r/t4speeder - 03-22-13 http://www.ebay.com/itm/MUSCLE-BIKE-71-columbia-SS5-chopper-RARE-ORIGINAL-murray-schwinn-eliminator-ss3-/130873901477?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e78b141a5 Too bad we didnt take care of them like this one. Ghost riding them was more fun at the time. I remember these - 65rbdodge - 03-22-13 cool! muscle bikes were not popular when i started riding a bikes, it was more a BMX time. i remember one older guy that had a muscle bike, i really liked it and always wanted one. a few years ago a friend at work said he had a ross apollo 5 speed that neede some work. he said he would give it to me if i got a hood for his truck out of the junkyard and delivered it to his house. the deal went through. after some work, money and a learning experience(i never took a bike down to the bare frame before) i ended up with this(i made the shifter)- ![]() since i built this one i bought another ross apollo as a bare frame and forks for $5 at a flea market that looks the same but is a single speed, it is red/white. I remember these - 4264door - 03-22-13 I had a Mustang 3-speed shifter with the banana seat and extended handlebars...alas it got stolen. I wrote the serial# down and STILL have the slip of paper to this very day! It went missing around 1968. I remember these - 4264door - 03-22-13 Pretty much like the one pictured here except it had a factory gold metal flake paint job with matching vinyl seat material. It was a CCM made bicycle Serial# J139451. Sorry, no pictures, heck even if I had a picture of it the photo itself would be so yellowed by now it would not do justice to the bike. Back then Dad had one of those Polaroid insta-cameras that developed the picture right in front of you. You old guys should remember that! LOL I remember these - 4264door - 03-22-13 1298Mine looked a lot like this picture I found on the internet but mine had a 3-speed shifter on the center cross bar, and if I jumped that bike too hard I slipped off the seat and guess where I hit that shifter...that's right, almost ripped the family jewels off one time! Maybe it was a good thing it got stolen, I might not ever have had any kids! ![]() I remember these - 67r/t4speeder - 03-22-13 Stingray and rack of dusty bikes I remember these - Copper67440 - 03-27-13 I had a yello Shwinn 5 speed.
