Disc brake calipers leaking-rebuild (a body calipers) Install Mini Starter Lower control arm bushings(rubber crumbling) NOS arms but prob 40years old. Lower control arm stiffening plates-just because theyâre out and cheap. Exhaust cutouts -O-ring not sealing and leaks Any advice tips always welcome FUN!!! Pulled motor and trans yesterday ... - markz - 06-23-18 Does your car stop ok? If you use the F body calipers you get a little bigger piston. I believe I used 76 Volare calipers in lieu of the A Body calipers. Pulled motor and trans yesterday ... - 67RTBlue - 06-23-18 Yes car stops good. Went with smaller diameter discs so we could use the 14” NON disc brake steelies. I think they are A body? Piston looks like about 3”. I remember the calipers being 74-76’ something! I think the disc is a 10”. Being a cruiser don’t worry about it too much. Pulled motor and trans yesterday ... - markz - 06-25-18 The only difference between the A body and F body calipers is the piston size. I also run the small discs with 14 inch wheels and I run the larger piston now. You need to know piston size if you rebuild it yourself. |
