Just landed in my garage.

70 383 #'s car. The only non original parts are the intake, carb and air cleaner. And the originals were in the trunk..

Bough new in 1971. Insurance was $350 a year.

comes with the warranty

And salesman's business card.

other cool stuff.
It was St Louis order number 431 so it rolled down the line 101 cars before my 70 coronet. Build date was 7/07/70, St Louis stopped production of the charger on the 10th. Guess that make it a late model 1970 charger.

Sweet car man! The documentation makes it that much better!

Looks like a nice solid Charger, congrats.

Looks good, what are your plans for it?

Thanks!

plans are not to go overboard restoring this one. Pic 3, notice the 17 year old standing behind it taking a picture.
He's all Smiles. We're going to tinker on this one together and it going to end up his. So for now mechanically sound is more important than shiny paint.

Sweet Charger.
Has it been sitting a while? I see what looks like a temporary fuel can in front of radiator.

Good eye, it's running on a 2.5 gallon tank. The story I got was the second owner poked a hole in the gas tank in the mid 80's and parked it. Third owner, who I got it from, had the trunk pans and rear window area replaced, rattle caned over the entire cars surface rust. Then let it sit garaged for years.

I tend to believe the story. I can't find a single place rusted through and haven't detected any body filler. The only oil leak I see is the PS pump.

Edit. So I found some rust through under the battery tray. I can live with it.
