Someone has to start this section over again, so here is a pic of my '49. This was from '09 right after I got it and put new suspension under it. 2.5" rear and 3" front. The car doesn't look like much but she runs well.

I haven't driven it in a while, I have the front clip in pieces still for paint and body work...
this was my last bit of fun, polishing the radiator and clear coating it. also added copper overflow tube44

Notice you said you havent driven much but how is the clear coat on radiator holding up?

I haven't driven it yet... there's not even antifreeze in there Sad
I imagine it will be fine, only one time has my temperature gauge gotten to 170º and that was on the highway in the summer. It's got a 1 or 2 pound cap, and there is never enough heat to build pressure. The paint bakes in the booth at 160º so my painter said it should work out.
It looks good in the garage though!
