What did you do to your Coronet this Week ....??? - harold prentice - 04-08-14 Well, for the second time, I pulled the intake off the poly to re gasket it. Thanks to info I got from one of my Forum bros, I was able to pick up a can of the correct coloured engine paint from a nearby Dodge dealer so I cleaned up the manifold & sprayed it. Giving it a day to set up, then I'll bolt everything back together. Still debating wether to use the supplied end gaskets or go with straight high temp silicone. The end gaskets were too long, last time, so they deformed once I dropped the manifold in place & torqued it. Playing around with the new ones, I was able to trim them so they fit better but I'm still on the fence as to which way to go. Anyone out there have any advice? If nothing else, the manifold looks really cool now! I even painted the bolts.38403841 What did you do to your Coronet this Week ....??? - 67r/t4speeder - 04-08-14 I never use those end gasket's myself. I think I mentioned this before, Permatex Right Stuff is the fix, just gotta clean everything it touches really good and it will work. That intake looks great, I need to do this same job soon along with some valve cover gaskets. So thats Mopar Performance paint? What did you do to your Coronet this Week ....??? - harold prentice - 04-08-14 Got the intake back on & all looks good. Here's a picture of the Mopar paint I used with part number on the label. Fingers crossed - I'll fire it up tomorrow when the rain stops. Of course you always find something else to do when you start digging into these cars - looks like my throttle cable is starting to fray (one strand broken already). Not a lot of luck on line. Does anyone know of a source for replacement cables? 38423843 What did you do to your Coronet this Week ....??? - 67r/t4speeder - 04-08-14 http://www.engine-swaps.com/Pages/ProductsYear/66.72bBody.html#head5 Was heat crossover plugged up in intake? I think mine is the choke not worky no mory What did you do to your Coronet this Week ....??? - harold prentice - 04-09-14 Got lucky with the crossover, it was wide open. I'm lucky 'cause the choke works well, too. What did you do to your Coronet this Week ....??? - 67r/t4speeder - 04-09-14 Seems they don't show a throttle cable for a 318 on the link I posted but I wonder if the 273 one is the same ? I sent an e-mail to their tech guys to see if the cable you noted will work.
