54 Coronet Build - 67r/t4speeder - 03-24-15 How did the scarebird kit fit? Did you remove hood center trim if it had any? Keep those updates coming for us to enjoy ![]() And congrats on firing the engine, that is always a happy day for sure . 54 Coronet Build - 1954 in progress - 03-24-15 Thanks everyone for the positive feedback ![]() The Scarebird kit was great!! Very easy to install. The only thing I could say is that the kit came with a list of parts needed. I shopped around and the brake rotors were cheaper at autozone, so I bought them there. But when installing them they did not clear the hubs. I brought the hubs down to napa and their rotor fit over perfectly. So I bought rotors there and returned other ones. That what I get for trying to save a couple bucks.... I did remove the ram on the hood. My car was originally a 6 cylinder. And since it now has a V8 I wanted to used the Hemi V8 hood emblem. I like the look better ![]() 54 Coronet Build - 48mirage - 03-24-15 I have used the Scarebird kit on my '49. In researching the kit, I learned that Scarebird did all of their mockups with NAPA parts. 54 Coronet Build - 1954 in progress - 03-26-15 Mirage... Are you using the stock master cylinder? If so are you happy with the stock one? I ask because I thought about using a on frame universal master cylinder, but I think it the trans cross-member will be in the way. So I'm thinking stay with stock master??? 54 Coronet Build - 48mirage - 03-26-15 Check you PM's. 54 Coronet Build - 67r/t4speeder - 03-27-15 Definitely don't want to use stock master I would think. Even if not power, manual dual pot will work fine for a cruiser . My two cents |
