Yet annother what were they thinking????? - Avenger - 02-21-13 I think its the various shades of the interior... lol ![]() Yet annother what were they thinking????? - 69Coronetrt - 02-21-13 thebankerstoy Wrote:Hello Jeff, Looks like P6K to me. It does look like the trim code is P6k, which would be premium vinyl covered Copper colored bucket seats and it also looks like the upper interior door frame paint code is T, which would be the medium Copper color. With that being said, that leads to a few questions for me. (1) Why did they list the interior color as burgundy in the description information box and then as Medium Copper later on in the ad? (2) Why the different color on the dashboard (and kick panels)? Could there have been a dash fire and the complete dash assembly was replaced? (3) Could it be a non original to this car fender tag? If they showed the fender tag, why didn't they show the VIN tag? By the way, I'm confused, so can someone please tell me what 67 Plymouth B-Body model came from the factory with a model code of "RF" in it's VIN number? Quote:RF23L71124940As far as I know, all 1967 GTX's came with model code "RS" and there were no models with a model code of "RF". I hate being so distrustful and hopefully it is just something as simple as an owner with weird tastes in color combinations, but something just doesn't seem right about this car to me. I'm sorry that you missed my sarcasm on the VIN listing error, but my intent was to highlight another "typo" in this ad. You've also made mention that the fender tag screws do not look to be factory correct for a 1967 model year vehicle, so with that being said, along with the questions regarding the interior, at what point does one start wondering how many other surprises might be waiting for a new owner? Back in the days when these cars were selling for a lot less money, not many cared about these types of details, but now with much higher prices for more desirable models, everything becomes important, at least it would be to me if it were my $34K being spent. I was going to give a smart ass answer like "It's Big Daddy Roth model" but thought I'd play it straight. You know, that's pretty funny, because when I saw that "RF" code, I thought of the very same thing. ![]() Richard ![]() Yet annother what were they thinking????? - theman440 - 02-22-13 Man you are good Richard! |
