That;'s exactly what came to my mind as I read Rich's comment regarding all of the holes in the hood! LOL!

Of course we all know about Rich's "security detail" that guards all of his cars and parts!

You know it Richard. I have a backhoe too, makes clean up easier.Big Grin

I've been working on it most of the weekend with not a lot to show just yet.

I resealed the WW pivots to keep the rain off my feet. Re-glued the insulation pad, spent a lot of time reworking the used dash harness. It's in, but needs more TLC. Hope to get the instrument cluster in this evening.

Here are a couple pics of the hood. The goal was to keep the rain off the motor.

Notice how many layers of paint there are!

And the car only has 11,600 miles.

It's going to Carlisle looking like an albino domino.

I know that you're going for a more original look for this car Rich, but I sure love the 1967 WO23 style hood scoops on the 1966 and 1967 Coronets.

Sorry Richard, I love the sleeper look this car had with out the scoop.

Instrument cluster is now in. Lot's more to do though...

For most original Hemi cars I'd agree Rich, but this particular car seems to have spent most of it's time since new pounding down the drag strip collecting E.T. slips. Just saying......

I found out that the car was modified in the mid 90s. The first owner only drove it 1100 miles and kept it stock. The second owner did all the racing mods.

I also just finished putting everything together. Everything from the horns to rad hoses, and everything in between...at least on the top side. Haven't even gotten under the car yet. I drove it around and didn't have to get out and push this time! It seems to run pretty good, but for some reason the idle seems to creep up as the engine gets warm. Not sure why though.

Wow what a transformation Rich, it looks so good now.

Kick down linkage at throttle too tight maybe?

Thanks Andy, there's no kick down linkage as it still has the fully reverse manual valve body for now.
